Naming and Brand Design
Luminc is an aluminum window and door industry. The client approached me to create a name for the new company in their group. After market analysis and studying the desired brand perceptions, we arrived at the approved name: Luminc. This name combines "Lumen" (Latin for light) and "Link" (English for connection), highlighting a primary function of windows: to illuminate and bring light, emphasizing the connection between light and space.
Once the name was approved, I created a brand identity that needed to be both inspiring and classic. The colors followed the idea of connecting spaces and the ability to bring light, symbolized by the sun, hence the use of yellow. The result is a palette that combines the sobriety and elegance of dark tones with the luminosity and vibrancy of yellow.
The typography includes custom-designed details for the logo, such as the dot on the "i" and the "L" being the same height as the other letters.








Why not use the shape of the product itself to create the symbol? We have straight lines, depth, and the opportunity to subtly incorporate the "L" from the name.
Using the letter "L" from the same typeface, I created a shape reminiscent of a window sill.
Rectangular and square shapes tend to convey ideas of strength, stability, reliability, and order due to their rigid right angles. No other geometric figure has the incredible ability to instill confidence and create strong emotional bonds like squares do.
